Kanye West has already expressed that he has a fondness for rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. It seems the two are now working on new music together, and photos of their studio session are floating around.

The controversial rappers getting together may not have been a complete surprise. First, Tekashi 6ix9ine claimed he would be featured on Kanye’s new album. Though he did not wind up on the album, Kanye still spoke highly of him. In an interview on Chicago’s Power 92, Kanye stated that Tekashi was one of his new favorite rappers. Additionally, he spoke on the controversy surrounding the rapper.

“It ain’t no different type of controversy. We all the same,” West noted. “What this make [6ix9ine] like a worst person than someone else or something? He’s worst than one of our cousins that’s locked up or something like that? That’s our family.”
