Astroworld rapper Travis Scott is being sued by the Rhythm, Wine & Brews Experience Festival organizers, for cancelling his performance, which ultimately led to the canceling of the festival. The organizers also allege that Trav kept his six-figure deposit, despite the fact that he cancelled.

On Friday (January 4th), Empire Music Ventures filed a lawsuit stating that Trav was in breach of contract. According to The Blast, thefestival alleges Scott agreed to perform at the March 2nd event, at the Empire Polo Grounds, for $400,000. He also agreed to perform a one hour and 15 minute set. After receiving $200,000 for the deposit, Trav cancelled the performance.

“Due to a last minute cancellation by our festival headliner, we have no other choice than to cancel the 2019 Rhythm, Wine & Brews Experience,” the statement read. “This decision has not been an easy one, however, it has always been the upmost importance that we deliver an excellent experience for our festival guests. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to returning in 2020 bigger and better than before.” the festival organizers wrote on Instagram.
